It should be fixed in revision 3863.

Be aware that the speed parameter in xml file refers to the complete time of an animation. Thus, the biggest the "speed" parameter is, the longest the animation is...
(Well, this is very not intuitive in my mind...)

drowned animations seems to not be used too

0.8beta1 works correctly like we can see on video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZwLsfvsgElk

so problem appears between r3253 and r3419
