Might have been fixed by r5037 ("Fix bug #11641: Bad textures after third load of saved game, by making sure we unload all level data when loading savegames.") Please test.

Attaching some info & increasing priority as I consider this bug a blocker for a next release.

This bug looks very similar bug #9923, which was the result from loading textures into memory, but failing to load it into our OpenGL texture object. This might very well be caused by the same problem.

@devurandom I'm adding you to the CC list of this bug because fixed the above mentioned bugs, maybe it's similar enough for you to be able to see the problem/cause right away.

Description:
When reaching mission beta 1 after starting the transport from alpha base the textures look distorted (see attached screenshot).

If you start the game, and load the savegame of the mission start, the textures look ok. I attach one savegame before the start at alpha base and the savegame directly at the start at beta base.
