Fri 25 Jan 2013 06:26:50 PM UTC, comment #12: Oops, sorry for the delay. Wiki update is mostly done [at least "(Main) namespace"], but some pages seem to need more than simple search/replace:
http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Pubserver_software [this one looks WAY out of date]
http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Install-WindowsMobile [this one actually specifies V 2.1]
http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Playing_as_barbarians [V 2.1 specific]
http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Install-Gentoo [this one looks WAY out of date]
http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Install-Cygwin [this one looks WAY out of date]
http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/XAW [deprecated client]
I made some changes to http://freeciv.wikia.com/wiki/Install-Windows but left others, particularly the listing from V 2.0. This page needs attention by someone who is familiar with the Windows client. I think it still refers to a deprecated GUI, and further suspect that it may refer to older Windows developer tools as well.
I have deliberately not touched anything with 'NEWS' in the pathname, nor have i edited any of the pages in other languages. I do plan to make another pass and catch any instances out of (Main) and possibly try to take on the translated pages. Decide for yourself if you still want to keep the ticket open.

Tue 05 Jul 2011 04:20:11 PM UTC, comment #10: That's even better than scrolling through a data dump... It took some experimentation to discover that the 'starting at' and 'ending at' refer to text in the title and not entry dates. Anyway, good find!

Thu 16 Jun 2011 10:00:01 AM UTC, comment #8: I'll take a whack at it. Is there a way i can see a 'flat file' list of pages? Or otherwise make sure i visit each page once and only once??
Wed 15 Jun 2011 09:28:29 PM UTC, comment #7: doc/ under version control has been handled.
Is someone going to inspect wiki, or at least some of the more important pages?
http://www.freeciv.org : 553 pages on this wiki
Tue 07 Jun 2011 04:34:54 AM UTC, comment #6: patch #2695 for README.sound
patch #2696 for README.cma
patch #2697 for README.graphics
patch #2698 for README
I didn't see any other glaring problems in /doc, other than
1) README.delta could use a good introduction [what is it for, and who would benefit from it?]
2) I'm not sure, but i have a hunch that HACKING contains a lot of obsolete material.

I will do that.

This happened in patch #1756 .

This happened in patch #1820 .
There are still references to civserver etc around. Plenty in doc/README for instance (probably the whole of doc/ needs reviewing).

Yes, nobody has remembered its existence before now. But now that you reminded about it, it will be soon renamed (in trunk).

Wed 26 May 2010 04:44:26 AM UTC, original submission: The Freeciv executables have changed names:
civserver to freeciv-server
civclient to freeciv-[client]
.civclientrc to .freeciv-client-rc-x.x
There are probably more.
I just updated the wiki FAQ, but there are many more references that need to be fixed.
