Already fixed in git, but closed with the release of MyPaint 1.1.0. Please reopen if this problem reoccurs with the new stable release!

This has been implemented, making as fixed.
If the issue in comment #4 is still present, please file a separate bugreport about that.

Things evolved since I posted this bug repport , and now a middle-click button or a middle-mouse wheel event is succesfully performed by the new xorg/xinput wacom thing.

But, there is still a problem with Mypaint ; I need to have the stylus up at 5cm of the tablet to can perform the buttons... With stylus on the canvas, it's like if they don't work or have any effect...
On Terminal :
They are blocked when :
device change: Wacom Cintiq 21UX stylus <enum GDK_SOURCE_PEN of type GdkInputSource>
and works when :
device change: Core Pointer <enum GDK_SOURCE_MOUSE of type GdkInputSource>

The same effect is also observed on Gimp 2.6.10 and Krita ( but touchstrip for zoom work on Krita without have to release the stylus )

Here are just my last infos about this problem.

Yes, assigning keys with xsetwacom just results in a button press event immediately followed by a button released event.

This must be a bug or a limitation somewhere in xorg/xinput, because I do get a correctly timed release event when looking at the output of xev for a button that has no key assigned.

Does your tablet buttons work when you map them to keys for other things? Stuff like undo/redo, save/open scrap and similar?

I experienced there is no way to assign the 'pan' function to a shorcut button of my tablet.

If I assign the 'space bar' it don't work. Same if I assign a 'middle mouse' to the tablet button.

So , I can't use 'pan' ( and 'rotate' ) with the shortcuts button of my tablet. I would appreciate to use them to pan. Zooming with +/- works for the moment ...
