The GUI is properly working now with gnustep-startup-0.23. As I have a 64 bit environment i guess all the other things won't be working. :(

It seems like a gnustep upgrade is necessary - Unfortunately it's not exactly straightforward.

You have two options: the first is to install startup-0.22, the last stable gnustep release . However there is a bug in the gnustep-base library distributed in it that affects Adun, so after install you'll have to upgrade base to 1.20.1 (the latest stable release of base) - there is no startup package this version in it unfortunately. Also I can't guarantee this will work cause I haven't tried it.

The second options is to install from one of the latest gnustep unstable startup packages (0.23 or 0.25).
(These are unstable as they represent the move from compatibility with OSX 10.4 to 10.5, and introduction of support for objective-c 2.0). It's working under 0.23 for me.

However you can only safely use these packages on 32 bit machines. This is because all the APIs have been updated to use 8 byte integers on 64 bit and Adun will still try to pass 4 byte integers to these methods, causing weird behaviour shortly followed by segmentation faults everywhere an integer array is involved.

There may be a way to compile 32 bit version of the libraries in startup 0.25 on a 64 bit machine, but my few attempts so far have failed.

So do you suggest moving to some newer version of gnustep? :S. Which version are you using?

So what library versions is it linking now (ldd GNUstep/Applications/UL.app/UL)?

It didn't work. Still stuck on the same place. Also, if I open the Analyzer from Tools menu, i don't get any row in the data field.

I can replicate it under gnustep-startup 0.20 (gnustep-gui 0.14), but it's not there using gnustep-gui 0.17 (installed from suse packages). So it's looking like a gnustep problem. I update the interface file using a relatively new version of Gorm - probably its a backward compatibility problem

As Ubuntu has been doing some updates on the system, i will just remove GNUStep and install it all over again. Lets see if the problem is in here.

No - that's good because I also have that version installed here, so I can test with that.

I am using gnustep-startup-0.20.1, which used to work properly. Perhaps I should reinstall it?

Could you archive and attach the directory
Adun/UL/Resources/UL.nib ?

Also what versions of the gnustep libraries are you using?
