If I switch to the freecvi window, the marble background is shown for a short time before it is overwritten with the grey/yellow color.

Thanks for the hint! I'm using the theme Oxygen-Molecule. Depending on the theme, the background is shown different. While the start screen shows the marbe background, for the game a yellow background (raleigh) or even a grey background with some parts yellow (clearlooks; see screen shoot) is used. I did not test all themes due to time limitations.

Check what 'widget style' set to in the GTK+ Appearance settings module - this control module should be located under System Settings > Appearance. Or you can run 'kcmshell4 kcmgtk' to start the control module stand-alone. :)

Could you give me a hint how I get this information? I did not change anything using opensuse 11.3 with KDE. According to rpm I have the following installed:

Which GTK theme engine and theme are you using?

In the previous case, the bug was triggered by theme engine "Murrine" and theme "Ambiance".

seems to be similar; I do not have the strange colors of the select boxes (blue, red, etc) but the backgrround is missing. If you tell me, which additional Informations I can provide (and how to find them) I will help.

System: opensuse 11.3 (i586)
