Doesn't occur anymore, but I'm using Gnome 3.12 at the moment, too bad I didn't mention which DE&WM I was using back in 2012/2011.
I'll mark this as "Works For Me" and close this issue, as I seem to be the only person who was affected by this bug.

Anyone able to reproduce this? Till - could you let us know what window manager you were using at the time, and whether the problem is still there?

I'm unable to reproduce this under Xfwm4: that WM only allows single modifiers to be mound as the window move key.

Yes. Haven't tried solving this since last year, though.

Also fails when using the mouse if mypaint is in fullscreen mode.

It's the same here, it works fine with a mouse but the stylus picks up color.

Could someone try to reproduce the following (assuming you are using a window manager with freely movable windows AND use a tablet/stylus):
Assign "move window" to <super>+<alt>+<button1>
Launch myPaint and try to move the mypaint window using <super>+<alt>+<button1-on-your-stylus>.
What happens next is that you move the window but at the same time keep picking up colors with the color picker - the latter shouldn't happen.
