This is not fixed. Look at the front page: top news item hides only one word behind 'read more'.

Hi,

I've fixed this bug. However, I can't change the status from "Open" to "Closed", so I just used "Fixed" for now.

Long news are splitted and only the first part is shown in the news column, while the complete text is shown on a separate page. However, when the complete text is not much longer than the first part, this is annoying.

I suggest this behaviour: when the complete text is longer than 2 * N words, split it (i.e. use ``read more'') and put only N words in the news column. Otherwise, put the complete text in the news column.

This way the first part will usually be somewhere from N to 2 * N words and the ``read more'' link will hide at least N more words (not two or three more words.)
