After further research ( and also with the info from Joshua ), I found that the 'oxygen-gtk' widget style setup in System Setting > Apparence > Gtk+Apparence is the culprit for all my list of Mypaint bug on KDE.

Moving to the gtk engine 'greybird' (default of Xfce Xubuntu desktop where I had good test also ) solved and the icon preset selection and the drag&drops.

Some news about it. Problem is now permanent on Kubuntu 12.04 :
Selection of brush group inside Brush list editor , and drag and drop of brush to a new group.

I did a research here https://bugzilla.gnome.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=kde
And the closer I found , was this one https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=595354 for speaking about the keywords drag-and-drop and KDE. Else that, it's pretty far. So I think I will do a new report on this place soon.

Next step would be to check against the GTK+ bugzilla.

I've had the same problem before, but not often, and mostly with the colour selector in MyPaint. It's not nearly as frequent as in Gimp: I constantly have to click random parts of the UI to get the pen to work on the toolbox and colour selectors in Gimp.

To clarify, what happens is parts of Gtk applications become unresponsive to pen input until I either use the mouse or interact with a different window (usually the canvas) in the same application with the pen. It's probably not specific to MyPaint and Gimp, but those are the only Gtk applications I use frequently with the pen.

I also use KDE (oxygen widgets), and my Gtk theme uses the nodoka engine, so it's not the oxygen-gtk engine typically used by KDE users at fault here.

I have no idea how to determine where the fault lies, so I just deal with the occasional MyPaint problem and try to avoid using Gimp, which does it very often. :|

Hi, I have difficulties with the Brush editor list since I'm on KDE , I saw it works ok with the mouse, but with a stylus many click ( ex: select a brush ) are not responsive , and I have to select a group label before to 'wake up' the cursor. It affect also some drag and drop to groups ; etc.
