This bug is already Fixed in git, but is marked as Open. I am now
marking it Closed because a new stable version, 1.1.0, is
available, meaning that this bug no longer affects the current
stable release.

Please reopen if this problem reoccurs with the new version of

Should be fixed in git now:

I have my default background (as set in Layers->Backgrounds) saved to be black. This works fine during startup and when saving/loading images within MyPaint only.

However, whenever I open an .ora file that was previously saved from GIMP (something which happens many, many times in my workflow), the background opens as solid white. My default background setting is ignored.

Rather than having to go change this back every time, I suggest that the default background colour be respected also for GIMP-saved .ora files.
