Existing patch is still better than nothing. If there's no objections I'll commit it for 2.3.3 already, while more extensive fix will become available only later.
Mon 03 Dec 2012 08:29:42 AM UTC, original submission: I managed to setup situation considered illegal in some parts of the code (at least savegame loading "fixes" this to "sane") of having unit in fortress that is enemy of the fortress owner. Simply move the unit to fortress while players are at peace, and declare war only after that. When war is declared, existing units in fortress tiles are not checked.
