Hi,

Thanks for reporting! The assertion you hit is incorrect, the last part should be "&& fmt->packing == 0)". I have fixed this in the git repository and it will be fixed in the next release.

When try to convert sample rate by SoX (Simulated analog filtration or Polyphase Interpolation ) - program crash with the following assertion:

ERROR:soxdialog.c:86:sox_dialog_format_string: assertion failed: (fmt->type == DATAFORMAT_PCM && fmt->samplesize != 3 && fmt->packing != 0)

Crash does not depend of the sample format.
