The actions exist in the menu drop-downs, we can select all on tile or select type on tile, but not very useful unless macros are used. Is there a way the mouse can do these selections at the unit/tile locations?

I also noticed this issue, i cannot "group" sea units into "convoys", i have to move each one by hand, what i expect is to group and move a fleet of ships i.e. destroyers & transports.

Hm, yes, that is a noticeable regression with the new unit selection dialog; there's no equivalent for any of the "Ready all", "Sentry idle", or "Select all" buttons in 2.3.x (and multiple selections aren't possible).
