Hum, correct.

I think it should be possible to translate data content. On all labels, we could run gettext. The only thing that matter would be to have the original strings known to gettext. We can, for that purpose, having a fake php page that would not be included in the running frontend, that would be generated from the database, containing _("Bla") for all the labels.

I do not know how gettext internally works but I can tell that it apparently only needs msgid and msgstr to work.

Hrm, it cannot be translated, because of bug #257.

Except that I would suggest to only use "Wish" instead of "Wish/Taste", I think this really would be an improvement. It's easier to translate, too.

How about changing the default severity labels:

1 - Trivial
2 - Ordinary
3 - Average
4 - Major
5 - Blocker
6 - Security

to

1 - Wish/Taste
2 - Minor
3 - Normal
4 - Important
5 - Blocker
6 - Security

We would follow the debian names. I'm proposing this change because "ordinary" and "average" looks to me quite hard to compare.

How do we define average? Average by comparison to what? If it is average between the lowest and the highest... it is ordinary).

Ordinary definition is an open door to many interpretations too.

bugs.kde.org use wish/bug/crash. Crash is more or less like blocker... but a crash is likely to be caused by what we call a bug, so...

I think wishes should be primarily posted to the support tracker, and then reassigned to the task tracker if approved.
But some stuff are "bugs" and wishes: it frequently happens for translation, one way to do things may be acceptable but deprecated.
