To comment #6: is it definitely the same kind of crash? Do you have a backtrace?

(I've not been able to reproduce a crash of this kind.)

This crash also occurs in the release version of 2.5.0
It is not just quit from pregame, it is quit anytime.

This crash is in the closure of the spawned server not the client.
If you start a new game in the client and then cancel before hitting ready. The server crashes but the client remains open.

Freeciv 2.4 series clients crash in windows when you end a game spawned by the local client.

Just got this crash with a clean install of the vanilla Freeciv-2.4.2-gtk2 client. This was a different machine from the identical previous crash reported earlier while testing the CJK bug.

This crash has occurred twice today, both times when closing a client that is connected to a client spawned server on the local machine. Both times I tried it. There is no crash when the server is opened first and the client connects to it.

The previous reported crash was a different machine. Both clean installs. Both times the client was being used for the very first time. Both time running a server spawned by the client. One machine English, the other Korean.

Today the crash is on a machine with a separate freeciv 2.3.5 client installation that has been used to play longturn LT32. No similar crash has occurred with an older version. Freeciv 2.3.5 continues to play normally both local and network games.
