For the record, yes, the Quintain HP was bumped so it can't be killed in one turn.

Marking as fixed.

Some of what I mentioned previously has been formally reported in bug #25111.

I think there's been some changes to the Tutorial since this report and I cannot reproduce the anonymous poster's issues. (Possibly the quintain getting an HP bump - even with all attacks hitting, it will still survive with 1 HP.)

Still, there is the potential to end up in a stalemate when attacking the quintain again instead of doing as the tutorial instructs (such as retreating to a village or moving to the keep to recruit). In such cases, should Konrad or Li'sar survive (instead of the quintain killing him/her) the Tutorial does not allow you to end your turn (because you have not fulfilled its instructions). Yet you have used up your turn in the attack, so nothing can be done other than to quit the Tutorial.

I think it's possible for a new player to try something silly like this. In such a case it's probably still a good idea to disable further attacks on the quintain when the player is instructed to move elsewhere. Either that or increase the quintain's attack power/accuracy or lower the player's HP and make sure he/she cannot survive. (:

Confirmed behavior in 1.12.0. Attacking (and killing) the quintain after recruiting the elves causes Konrad to exclaim: "I'll tell them to use the one that does the most damage!" on the next turn.

Also, I noticed similar behavior when I attacked the quintain instead of retreating to a village, killing it (100% hit rate). Delfador summoned more quintains, then left. Konrad said "I'll recruit some elves!" (which kind of works by itself). After I did so, on the next turn Konrad said "I'll tell them to use the one that does the most damage!" without preamble.

Possible solutions: disallow Konrad to attack on turns 2 and 3, force Konrad's hit rate to 0% when the quintain is nearly dead, or have Delfador summon another quintain instead of leaving if the first dies before turn 4.

I tried this in both 1.10.7 and 1.11.16 and don't get that behavior. I recruited the elves when instructed and killed the quintain on that same turn (with a little help from debug mode, reducing the HP of the quintain). At that point, Delfador leaves and none of the dialog you quoted appears for me when you attack with the other elves on subsequent turns.

Marking as "works for me" (with the option to change back if you can provide details how to reproduce this).

I played out the tutorial and I did not notice the break in dialogue even after playing agressively.

What exactly is the problem? I could not reproduce the breaking effect.

In the first tutorial scenario, it's just barely possible for an aggressive player (meaning, probably, not a newbie who actually needs the tutorial) to kill the first Quintain with their main unit, on the same turn as they recruit the two Elvish Fighters but before either of those units could act.

If this happens, then Delfador leaves and doesn't say his lines, which breaks the dialogue a little bit. Surprisingly, it mostly still works, except that the line "I'll tell them to use the one that does the most damage!" has no antecedent. The simple fix would be to change this line to "I'll tell them to use the attack that does the most damage!", or something similar. The suggested line still flows properly with the usual correct dialogue, and changing this one line is probably easier than trying to modify the scenario so that this can't happen.
