Should be resolved with PR #564.

i also have this problem, speially when it comes to the 'fullscreen' hotkey, i know that t could put a harmless hotkey to that position (show unit list or something) but beeing able to remove default hotkeys would ne nicer.

Fabian, the main reason I'd lobby for this being fixed is I fat finger the default hotkeys (like ctrl+space for end turn).

I rather like not to fix this bug for 1.12.

Clearing hotkeys does not affect the default ones.
But can be reassigned properly.

So the only problem is that you can not not use a default hotkey.

i was told that fabi is the one to edit teh default hotkeys preferences file. So i assigned this to him.

the
[hotkey]
command="editor-map-new"
ctrl=yes
key="n"
[/hotkey]
[hotkey]
command="editor-refresh"
ctrl=yes
key="e"
[/hotkey]
is most likeley a bug in wesnoths default hotkeys, (ctrl+e, ctrl+n beeing applied to multiple actions with overlapping scope).

I started wesnoth with a fresh preferences directory, and in preferences->general->hotkeys->game selected "Clear Labels" and pressed the "Clear Hotkey" button.
In game everything seems fine at first, but after restarting the game the hotkey is present again.
In the preferences file these lines were added:
[hotkey]
command="editor-map-new"
ctrl=yes
key="n"
[/hotkey]
[hotkey]
command="editor-refresh"
ctrl=yes
key="e"
[/hotkey]
