This issue is addressed in the new (unreleased yet, but available in svn) version of the model.

Assume a package p1 defining two views v1 and v2
Assume a package p2 importing p1:v1 and p1:v2

Now assume we apply p2/view/v1:p2.

if v2 refers to v1, e.g.
this will work, i.e. it will be interpreted as
instead of
which would of course not work.

However, if v2 states
tal:attributes="href here/rootPackage/view/v1/absolute_url"
the href attribute will have value
which will not work.

absolute_url, in this case, should return
