The frontend needs some re-engineering, since it was quickly put together and sometimes it shows signs of poor quality coding, expecially when it comes to handling callback signals.

This means renaming some methods to uniform them to yet-to-define naming conventions, inheriting some classes from Gtk-- and so on.

This is a bug for tracking ideas and enhancements to the existing code. Feel free to list yours below.
