Indeed, a choice had to be made, this is maybe not the perfect one but it is best to avoid confusing things.

browse open ones may be confusing: it is just for one time that open items are selected. If the user post an item, then he will go back to his prefs were, maybe, we he selected to see closed items. And this is puzzling.

I think we should rename this to "Reset to open ones" and actually do such reset: write in prefs that the users wants to see open ones.

On the other hand, it also affects fields like category that are set to Any

So maybe it should be "Browse all open ones"... and then it is hard to determine whether this should overwrite prefs.

Or maybe we should just add a feedback.
