There is an 'undo' command in GTP, so synchronizing the engine should be possible just by undoing the right number of times (or every time the user pressed 'Back' to keep it in sync always)

Not sure what happens with time though.

I agree it would be useful, but it is not simple (e.g. what to do with time control? make sure GTP engine position is synchronized with the board and so on.) Therefore, I postpone it till 0.3.x.

Currently you are allowed to play moves on other nodes, but they are considered just as editing game record and are not relevant to playing games. You may use them to annotate game records, for instance.

When playing GNU Go, if you go back some moves to try a different strategy, making a single move works but GNU Go will no longer play (so you can't play out various scenarios, useful for training and testing GNU Go).

This is the one thing preventing me from fully switching to Quarry from cgoban1.
