I must admit I don't know. I'm not really working on toolbar code anymore. Fred Kiefer has done a bunch of refactorings on my toolbar code, so it's quite possible the issue is gone.

Quentin, can we revert DictionaryReader to use the toolbar again? (Do the GNUstep toolbars support setting the search field as first responder now?)

iirc, it's just a temporary change made by Yen-Ju until I improve the toolbar code in order it supports to set a toolbar item as the first responder. With the toolbar code enabled, if you want to look up for a word right after the application launch you cannot type immediately, you have to click in the search field.

Why has DictionaryReader got no toolbar any more? I vaguely remember something like 'prefer toolbars over buttons' as an Etoile design guideline. Has it been dropped?
