SELECT COUNT(*) FROM tourneys WHERE state IN ( 'running', 'registering', 'break', 'breakwait' );

SELECT COUNT(*) FROM user2tourney, tourneys WHERE rank = -1 AND user2tourney.tourney_serial = tourneys.serial AND tourneys.state IN ( 'running', 'registering', 'break', 'breakwait' );
