Can you make this happen consistently? If so, how? Also if so, do you still get the crash if you revert the ML_Recruiter patch? If you use the current trunk version? (I'm assuming version "11.1" is a simple typo for "1.11", meaning "1.11.0" rather than "1.11.0+svn".)

The backtrace looks similar to a crash I thought I had fixed, but at the moment I do not recall which revisions my crash would have been in, if any (it might have only existed in my local copy).

I applied SeattleDad's ML_Recruiter 0.4 patch to Wesnoth, then used scons to compile.
