Sun 24 Mar 2013 08:45:50 AM UTC, comment #9: Thanks for the additional information.
Thu 14 Mar 2013 08:25:09 PM UTC, comment #8: No. I use MATE desktop and also tried to change themes and font rendering mode - Wesnoth unaffected.
Sun 10 Mar 2013 01:03:11 PM UTC, comment #7: Thanks for the new images, they look much better. From what I can see Mint Linux uses a different anti-aliasing as Ubuntu. Another difference I see in the images is that the ones on Mint Linux have an alpha channel and the ones on Ubuntu have no alpha channel. No idea whether it is related.
The popup menu in image 2 seems to be unaffected, this code uses a different rendering engine. The other text uses the pango render engine, this is the same engine as GtK/GNOME uses. Do you have other Gtk/GNOME applications that have the same issue?

Sat 23 Feb 2013 08:12:15 AM UTC, comment #4: I see. I see differences in the images especially the fonts look like they have more anti-aliasing, or they are artifacts caused by the JPEG compression.
Would it be possible to create screenshots from HTTT on both mint and Ubuntu and saved as PNG (please don't convert the JPEG to PNG since the artifacts remain.)
I attached a screenshot on my Debian Squeeze system.
Tue 19 Feb 2013 11:26:57 PM UTC, comment #3: Screenshots attached, see mint-01.jpg and mint-02.jpg. Color depth is 24 bit.
And I also have used Radeon 9600 card in the past, which don't supported more by ATI and has only not very well open drivers. But now I changed it to GeForce 7300 - the fonts are still green.
Sat 09 Feb 2013 05:41:25 PM UTC, comment #2: Do you also have screenshots of the green fonts?
I expect it to be an issue with SDL, we had rendering issues with it before. Also what is the colourdepth used on your system?
Fri 30 Nov 2012 12:35:13 PM UTC, comment #1: I.e. 1.10.2 and 1.10.5 of course.
Fri 30 Nov 2012 12:24:12 PM UTC, original submission: I have a bad font color in Mint: all except help and top menu is green. Tried versions 10.2 from it's repository and self compiled 10.5. In old Ubuntu 10.04 LTS it works fine.
