you got the latest version of the linux32 build?
Windowed mode can be set in system/config/openoutcast.cfg by setting "Video.FullScreen = no"

For Linux it is recommended in general to build the tech demo from the source archive since the binary builds weren't optimized on "portability" between distributions and we don't work on Gandha 0.1 anymore ... the next tech demo should come out better tested and optimized in case of linking (like said - static is the way to go).

PS: Got the output from a system terminal ("DISPLAY=:0 gdb ./ooc"), as I didn't find an option to run ooc in windowed mode. Would be nice if you could describe the commandline parameter in the readme...
