A new beginning

1.7.x series are now maintenance-only. This means that future 1.7.x releases will contain no new features, only bugfixes.

Also I am happy to announce that the next major release (currently known as version 1.8) is already being worked on. It will have a brand new intuitive interface, and other things you always secretly wanted. For those of you feeling adventurous, the source code is available in SVN. Right now it is not in a very good state, and some important parts are missing (read: it does not work), but it is slowly getting there. Some testing is always appreciated.

By the way, I heard that The Year version 2007 is going to be released real soon. Changelog, anyone?
