Announce: Subversion commit emails to the -commits list
Item posted by Timothee Besset <ttimo> on Wed 22 Jun 2005 06:47:25 AM UTC.
Projects hosted on Gna! which use Subversion for source control now get an email summary for each commit to their -commits mailing list.
The emails provide URLs to the viewcvs installation [1] so you can quickly review changes online. Our email reporting tool is svnmailer [2].

| inline diff (posted by matthieu CASTET, Sat 25 Jun 2005 02:01:26 PM UTC) |
Could be possible to include the diff : in the mail ?
It is lot's of easier to review the change as you don't need to browse viewcvs and default viewcvs diff (color diff without color) isn't really understandable... |

We went for the generic and scalable solution first. Maybe later we'll be adding more features to customize the type of reports you get. You should probably consider opening a feature request for that.
