Announce: verifications of GPG signed files in the download areas

Item posted by Mathieu Roy <yeupou> on Tue 28 Jun 2005 05:06:51 PM UTC.

To improve security, there will be automated verification of GPG signed files contained in projects download areas soon.

Projects will not be forced to sign their files, indeed, but encouraged to do so. Signed files that could not be verified will be moved in subdirectories named /maybe-corrupted.

This automated check is not in production yet since it appears that several projects have GPG signed files that cannot be verified because their project members have not registered their GPG key through Savane yet.

Automated checks will be activated next week so it is important that projects members register their GPG keys at https://gna.org/account/change.php?item=gpgkey

If you want to know more about this issue, check the FAQ.

The verification failed for the following files:

RTAI 3.3 stable on kernel 2.6.14 debian (posted by Svetlana, Tue 12 Sep 2006 10:13:11 AM UTC)

Hello everybody,

I've installed linux-kernel 2.6.14 from http://www.kernel.org and rtai3.3 from http://www.rtai.org

I have not become in /dev/ rtf0 to rtf9. Then I have built 2 Shell-Script und run.
The First:
#!/bin/bash
mkdir /dev/rtf
for n in `seq 0 9`
do
f=/dev/rtf/$n
mknod -m 666 $f c 150 $n
done
And the second:
#!/bin/bash
mknod -m 666 /dev/rtai_shm c 10 254
for n in `seq 0 9`
do
f=/dev/rtf$n
mknod -m 666 $f c 150 $n
done
.

It was created successfully.
I have passed "lapic" to the kernel in GRUB!
I have insmoded all rtai modules without rtai_lxrt.ko.
insmod: error insering ./rtai_lxrt.ko: -1 Device or source busy

I can not run the latency test. I do not become errors or warnings.
root@ET:/usr/realtime/testsuite/kern/latency# ./run
*
*

  • Type ^C to stop this application.

*
*

## RTAI latency calibration tool ##
# period = 100000 (ns)
# avrgtime = 1 (s)
# do not use the FPU
# start the timer
# timer_mode is oneshot

RTAI Testsuite - KERNEL latency (all data in nanoseconds)
RTH| lat min| ovl min| lat avg| lat max| ovl max| overruns

I waited for 4-5 minutes, and nothing happends. Then I canceled
And the output of latency time is
RTD|577759364521771872| 1000000000| 1|577732705792033368|577732705792033368|-1076100364

Do You have any ideas?
Thank You

Svetlana

What if I lost a key? (posted by Paul Pogonyshev, Wed 29 Jun 2005 05:34:01 PM UTC)

Hello.

I'm the author of Quarry, some files of which listed above. I used a different key for them, but then lost it (in an HDD crash.) Is there anything I can do? If the files are going to forcedly go to a subdirectory, I can as well take them down as those versions are really old.

Or, perhaps, I could reconstruct the tarballs from the CVS and sign them with the new key...
