French Gna! users noticed that a new banner appeared recently, asking for new members for the APRIL french association - which is seeking the holy goal of 1,000 members.

APRIL (Association pour la Promotion et la Recherche en Informatique Libre) is working hard to promote, protect and enhance the visibility of Free Software in the political and general public sphere in France. Gna! and its people rely on our fundamental freedoms to be preserved and is happy to support the dedicated and active staff from APRIL.
