i obviously do not belive you are corect... my focus on this senario is realism... a defending army holding a sratigic city like elensefar and with reforcments on the way(sceletons) would never exit the city and fight on open ground... the botleneck is ment to make it a bit hader to got stait in with brute force over the brige and give a chance to set up your army's in a perfect formation before the attack begins..(giving a more intence feeling of the invading army)

As I've played this scenario many times, and also the bottleneck defense scenario in mattsc's AI mod demo, I don't think that it is a good idea to use this micro ai there. Firstly, I somehow doubt it works well with that map as there are several intrances. And secondly, this ai forces a style of play onto the player that is tedious, thus annoying, and has very high danger of causing him to fail to finish in time.
Actually, I don't think the bottleneck defense AI has a use in practice, apart from being some fancy AI behavior. (other than a few other micro AIs)

a simple implementation of micro Ai in Httt 06_siege_of_elensefar senario, besicly using the botle neck defence to make the orc army in elensefar feel more like a defencive army, and re-set to normal parameters after player gets in the city limits
