The JSYS operating system aims at building a scalable and stable object operating system, based and written using the JAVA (tm) technology.

The JSYS operating system aims at building a scalable and stable object operating system, based and written using the JAVA (tm) technology.

Skills involved are writing an OS, a JVM, a native compiler. In JSys, there is no real JVM : we native compile to the underlying architecture (currently only IA32) all classes before running them.

Currently, we are preparing a release 0.1 with a tiny HelloWorld demo :)
Threading, synchronisation, exceptions, hardware interruptions are the current implemented parts. A whitebook documenting parts of the OS is also being prepared.
