Tolstoj is a multiplatform text editor written in Java. It has (or will have): syntax coloring, autocomplete, support of LaTex, and many more features designed to improve programmers' productivity.
The program runs on native GUI components without the use of awt or swing, meaning it should run as fast and nicely-looking as programs written in C for the particular platform.
License GNU General Public License V2 or later
Development Status: 2 - Pre-Alpha
Details (job description, contact ...):
I am looking for someone who can port the program to the GNOME platform. It is written in Java and currently uses JNI to run on MacOS X with Cocoa. I would like some help to port the program to GNOME.
Also, I have heared there is a thing called Java-GNOME or something so it might be possible to use it, instead of JNI.
