In The Sky is a system to automatically track concerts on bands pages. It will be able to go download the last version of the touring page of a given artist (assuming it's in html and not in flash), parse it and add the information in a local database. The user can then setup an alert system for gigs that are happening close to his location.
The band database will be very light, containing only band info, tour page URL and parsing format, and will be available on the internet. A submission system will be added so that people can easily add their own artists and make them available to everyone.
