Open Outcast: The Hidden Gate - Summary
Being dissapointed when the official sequel to Outcast (published by Inforgrames, developed by Appeal) was canceled we decided to create our own one. While at the beginning we were trying to achieve our goal by using Gothic and it's MOD tools we soon realized that we were too limited to create that unique Outcast gameplay feeling.
So we decided to start using the free Crystalspace 3D SDK as our codebase what also brings the advantage of portability and independence of proprietary software so the game will stay fully free.
It's a game made by community for the community so don't hesitate if you want to contribute :-)

So finally the transition to GNA is finished now and you can get the latest code/gamedata over SVN =)
The file hierarchy of the sourcecode and gamedata has been redesigned by Zaiyon and me and since we're planning to use SVN for the management of in-progress art as well it would be nice if we could discuss that case in a devchat.
