PHOAF is a PHP5 library that provides an easy way to acess informations from FOAF files (see <a href="http://www.foaf-project.org" target="_blank">http://www.foaf-project.org</a> for more details).

Is is mainly base on RAP, a RDF API for PHP (see http://www.wiwiss.fu-berlin.de/suhl/bizer/rdfapi/). Actually, this is a kind of frontend to RAP, offering users a set of classes / methods to parsee FOAF files.

Using it, you can retrieve informations from files without any knowledge of FOAF or RDF
