xIRCd - Summary
An Internet Relay Chat daemon built in Java. The goal of this project is to provide an efficient and fast IRC daemon that is portable to ANY Operating System that the Java Runtime Environment will run on, this is the main reason for choosing Java. This project also aims to be be completely RFC 1459 (IRCProtocol Request For Changes) compliant, while at the same time rectifying any short comings and oversights from the authors.

The first release of the source code is available in the trunk branch of the SVN. This won't be placed as a download as it is still being worked on. The SVN version will compile and run, but is lacking in some features and commands.
