Kallol,

Did you set up sv_mailman to run as cronjob?

I found out that the lock file directory is never created by the make install which caused the line 44 lock error.

Just mkdir /var/lock/savane/ after you install savane and all will be well.

HI Again,

We have set mailman along with Savane. Savane is working fine. But when we add a mailing list in savane website, for some reason its not getting updated in mailman. is there a cron job that does this part??

Could you please help us in integrating mailman with savane..

FYI .. we are using postfix as our mail server.

Thanks in Advance

Normally, the crontab should be in /etc/cron.d/savane

Could you cut an paste the exact error message?

Yes, these scripts are run by root user. The error is same even if these scripts are run manually or via cronjob.

I have compiled the savane-2.0.tar.gz package. Its not a apt-get installation. These scripts were scheduled using cron when i ran make conf. But, unfortunately the cron entries corresponding to these scripts are not in /etc/crontab, they do not even appear when I do "crontab -l" as root.

One more thing is, there was savane installed earlier by apt-get. I purged the old installation using dpkg and then compiled and installed savane-2.0.tar.gz package.

Kind of puzzling, indeed. Are these scripts run by root user?

When I run sv_groups and sv_users, they report a 'Lock file not found' exception in line 44.
When i look up line 44 in lock.pm, it tries to look up a lock file which is not in the specified location /var/lock/savane/$lockfile

What might be wrong here ?

Also, once the code block using lock is commented out, it creates the directories but when we try accessing them, it refers to http://....... instead of https://........... !!

This is puzzling, Pls help.
