I think it's some dll that are missing: you have a new computer and it's possible that you haven't installed a program that come with the visual studio 2003 dll (msvcr71.dll,msvcp71.dll).

It's easy to check. You can just verify if you have these files in c:\windows\system32. And copy them from your other computer if it's missing.

Try this first.

Hi, I have been using the cal3d exporter for 3ds max 9 in my laptop for some time without any problems, but now that I got a new desktop (Dell xps: Intel Core 2 Extreme, NVidia GForce 8800), I tried to get the cal3d exporter on it aswell, but as the 3ds max application loads the following error appears:

Loading DLLs
DLL <C:\Autodesk\3ds Max 9\PlugIns\cal3d_max_exporter.dll> failed to initialize.
Error code: 126 - The specified module could not be found.

I installed the plugin the same way on the laptop and the desktop, using the Vizard 3.0 Exporters:

The only difference is that in the knew computer I have 3ds max 9 sp2, whilst on the laptop I have the original 3ds max 9 version.

From this it leads me to believe that the problem must be with the service pack 2 of 3ds max 9.

So can some one please help me, so that I don't have to switch over to the laptop every time I want to export a cal3d character.

Thank you,

rg <rdsgalvao>
