It's ok for me but I'm not the original submitter. Ant does not seem to be present, so I'm using a downloaded copy in my home directory.

From David:

I have installed Java7 on gcc111. There appears to be Java5, Java6 and now Java7 installed. The IBM Java instructions describe
explicitly adding "/usr/javaN/jre/bin" to the path, so I do not think that a link in /usr/bin is intended for a normal installation.

Shluld be ok?

I second this request.

There are some IBM JDKs lying around in /usr/java5, /usr/java5_64 and /usr/java6 but they are not on the default path. Are we supposed to use those or is it an oversight that they are present?

Need java 1.5+ (and ant 1.8+ if it's convenient)

thanks
