There are several unicode specific failure in the testsuite,
it could be due to the partial installation of unicode:

-bash-4.2$ lslpp -L "bos.iconv*"
Fileset Level State Type Description (Uninstaller)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------- C F Common Language to Language
Converters C F Unicode Base Converters for
AIX Code Sets/Fonts
seems to indicate more pacakges available,
could those be installed?

AIX LPPs for Unicode data conversion

bos.iconv.ucs.baltic Unicode Converters for Baltic Countries Unicode Converters for AIX Code Sets/Fonts
bos.iconv.ucs.ebcdic Unicode Converters for EBCDIC Code Sets
bos.iconv.ucs.pc Unicode Converters for Additional PC Code Sets
bos.iconv.ucs.ZH_CN Unicode Converters for Simplified Chinese (UTF)
bos.iconv.ucs.Zh_CN Unicode Converters for Simplified Chinese (GBK)

I only found out afterwards that there
is an /opt/freeware/bin directory, which is not
in the default PATH variable but might contain all
I was talking about ...

Hi all,

I am trying to use AIX7.1 gcc111 to test
progress on aix support for Free Pascal compiler
and want to set up a nightly testsuite run on that
machine if possible.

To be able to use our Makefiles, I had to locally
install GNU grep, GNU coreutils and GNU diffutils.

Those packages might probably be also useful for others.

Best regards,

Pierre Muller
