Hum, the problem is that archives index have links like "date/index.html", then if we accept /gcfilms-dev like if it was /gcfilms-dev/, this like get broken.

We can update all links but that would be weird because in the end, we would make the page assuming that /gcfilms-dev is /gcfilms-dev/ which is never true in apache mind (/gcfilms-dev is a file in /, while /gcfilms-dev/ is the index file in /gcfilms-dev/).

I guess the proper way to go is to detect if the url is like /bla/list and to redirect it to /bla/list/. That would mimic apache behavior properly.

Should this be committed to savane and then installed on gna! ?

Hi,

In frontend/perl/mailman_private_archs/index.pl

my $list_name = $1 if $ENV{REQUEST_URI} =~ /^\/private\/([A-Za-z1-9-]+)\/.*$/;

Should be changed to sthing like
my $list_name = $1 if $ENV{REQUEST_URI} =~ /^\/private\/([A-Za-z1-9-]+)(\/.*|)$/;
(not sure tho, my perl re skills need refreshing)

The bugfix should be trivial, just a matter of priorities. What matters most is that the other bug you encountered is fixed.

OK, everything is correct now for me.

Thanks a lot for your help and good luck for the bug fixing.

(Granted, this slash should not matter).

Hum, the proper url is https://mail.gna.org/private/gcfilms-dev/

The slash at the end does matter.

Now I have this error (without dash lines):

--------------------------------------------------
Sorry, you have no access to that area.

No list exists with the name found in the url ().
--------------------------------------------------

Page URL is this one :

https://mail.gna.org/private/gcfilms-dev

Maybe some settings need to be done on my side. To have access to private list, is there any other requirement than being project member? (my mail address is also in the subscribers list).

For the first one, I have no problem accessing the archives.

I'm looking into the second one.

It would be helpful if you give exact links that returns 404 error.

Maybe you could try also to clean your browser cookies, removing all cookies related to gna.org, .gna.org, just in case, and reopening a new session.

I was logged in when performing the tests. When not logged, they didn't even appear in mailing lists panel.

Would it help you investigating with lists names?

Another information that can be useful, page title is "404 Error" when I try to access to archives.

You must be logged in at Gna! before trying to access these.

I have no problem so far here.

Hello,

For gcfilms projects, we have 2 private mailing lists. For sure archives of one of them was accessible around 2 weeks ago. The second one archives have never been used successfully.

When trying to display the archives, we got such an error message:

Unable to open the requested file (index.html), exiting

Could you please let us know if we did something wrong or if the problem is more global.

Thanks.

Tian.
