No. Lock dirs are created at project creation.

Yes, Cvs.pm is called by sv_groups.

# Put CVS lock files in this directory rather than directly in the repository.
LockDir=/var/lock/cvs/<Project Name>

this is what it says in all config files in CVSROOT directories.

is there a setting in savane.conf.pl or anywhere else that enables this functionality? or was there supposed any cron job.

The crontab is the default one that was provided with savane files.

Thanks a lot,
Sudheendra

The code is in lib/Savane/Cvs.pm.

The locks directory is set to /var/lock/cvs/$project_name and is created along with the CVS repository.

At least it's supposed to. What does your project's CVSROOT/config say about LockDir?

Is there any option in Savane that specifies where the CVS lock directories or files need to be created for the projects that were added?????

Thanks,
Sudheendra

Hi,

We have a savane setup. For some reason savane is not creating CVS lock directories when we add a project in savane website. Savane is creating CVS repo directories, but its just not creating the lock directories.

As a consequence, when users try to checkout any code, they get an error saying "unable to create lock file" " CVS lock directory does not exist in /var/lock/cvs/""

Can somebody please help me in resolving this...?

Thanks in advance
Sudheendra
