Hi, may I ask if there is some update on this? I'm losing access to the old machine I've been using for this purpose so I'd like to migrate to a new if possible, thanks.

Hello,

I'd like to move GCC weekly benchmarking/profiling (temporarily you can see it at http://teras-ics.mooo.com:8003 ) to the compile farm. I'd like to ask if you can propose a specific x86 host which:

  • is stable library-wise (i.e. only minor version upgrades like RHEL or Debian stable, not major versions that can change the numbers).
  • has lots of disk space. Currently I'm using 64 GB locally, but I keep all old versions available so I can look into performance regressions. I'd prefer to keep doing that.
  • I can be granted raising priority up to nice -20. I guarantee that the long-running compilations will run with nice +10 setting, but to get as stable numbers as possible when measuring time, I have to run GCC at highest priority. For these measurements each gcc process runs for about 5 seconds and occupies single core only (but I run it 10 times in total) so I will not be abusing the privilege.

Thanks,
Dimitris
