That is really great ! Thank you for the import, the problem can be closed. I will try to make the manual HTML, PDF etc... available on-line on the project page within this year --- eh eh eh, that is the cruise speed at which html-to-texi now evolves.

Vincent.

Hi,

Gna! is currently in a transition, which hopefully should start seeing some results next month. I myself am only back since recently.

I had to fiddle a bit to import the repository because there was already one with a few standard directories, which I had to reset. I also created the standard 'website/' directory at the root so you can update.

Let me kmow if that's ok.
I appreciate the effort and trust you put into this :)

ping --- still waiting for an upload, well, in the end the html-to-texi project may be transferred to savannah due to faster response time from administrators...

ping --- just to say that I am still alive, contrary to this site maintenance ;-P

Vincent Belaïche,

nice from you to implement a script to do adminstrator's job, but I think it is useless. If there is no reply for at least 6 months, that means that this site is 'dead', and your script will stay forever unused.

I thought at the time a chose GNA! / Savannah to be the host for my project that here would be the more adequate place for a GPL project, and that the features were similar to the others options on the market (the principals, at least). But now I can see the reality is far different from what I expected. And it were a frustrated choice.

Just to give a advice, if I were you I would search for another option. And there are plenty of. I myself have already switched, and if some administrator read this, please delete my account and projects.

Hello,

I have updated the dump on my page and the Import script.

My only problem with cvs2svn was that I was tried it with python 3.3.x rather than 2.7.x

To administrator: you are most welcome to try the script for the import.

Just in case that some administrator would suddenly promptly reply: please don't.

I have done some recent update to html-to-texi, and now the svn dump on my home page is no longer up to date.

Now, it seems that my cvs2svn is broken, so I need some time to regenerate the dumpfile...

I have attached http://gna.org/support/download.php?file_id=18191

This is a bash script for the administrator to make the import.

It is inspired from what I have read on savannah gnu, but I am not sure whether the gna! machine naming is the same, so it may need some review.

I hope that this can help administrator to handle this issue --- pending since 2012-12-23...

Hello,

I found this

http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/SvnImportExistingRepo

for savannah gnu --- which I think uses the same platform as GNA!

I am looking into it...

Hello,

Just to tell you that I have had no news on this since I posted the request. Which means that project html-to-texi is still not migrated to GNA!, ie the file CVS repo is still on my hard drive.

I think that this should be a basic function of GNA! / Savannah to support repo migration from an SVN dump. Unfortunately it seems that not only that function is not part of GNA! / Savannah, but also that nobody pays attention to feature requests registered here.

I started a new project some day ago, and now I intended to load the svn dump file of the project repo.

Seen this request for 'svn load' since 23 Dec 2012 is complicated. I'm thinking if it is worth the time to post a request.

ping

ping just in case that issues are handled in order of latest update...

Sun 23 Dec 2012 09:24:01 PM UTC, original submission:

could you please load the attached dump in the svn repository of the html-to-texi project? Thanks

If the attachment is too big and fails, I also placed it here:

html-to-texi.dump

PS: Sorry for bothering you, but I found similar issues like e.g.sr #623 and others, so it seems that gna! contrary to sourceforge does not offer any interactive shell function, and the only way to have that kind of upload is to ask by posting an issue.
