Dear GCF,

Once again I must commend you on your excellent work and thank you for the time you spend here. I am working on the build system of OpenSCAD again and your resources have proven invaluable.

I am very impressed by the gc111 machine, however I have had a spot of trouble getting any of the needed libraries to compile within my home directory for OpenSCAD. It appears there are several incompatabilities between things like gmp, mpfr, etc, and IBM's xlc compiler, in all the various modes I have tried it in. A simple configure --prefix, and make doesn't work. I tried to bootstrap gcc 4.8 and that failed too. I am wondering if there might be some sort of AIX package system that might have these things available already built? OpenSCAD needs the following to build at minimum:

gmp
mpfr
GL
GLU
GLX

(and their dependencies)

And in the perfect world, we would have these too:

boost
Xvfb or Xvnc or other virtual X
ImageMagick
Qt
GLEW

Anyways, thanks again for all the great work.
