Never could get this to work. I always got a permission error even though the permissions were even relaxed.

Shame too -- so much easier to use uploads then ftp.

I guess we would imagine including this as additional functionalities, as, as you said, it does not fit for a public server.

This is part 2 of what I came up with for PHP based upload which is the upload form that I placed in savane/frontend/php/files/upload.php see the attached file.

Also, php.ini Resource Limits and File Limits had to be increased to allow larger files followed by an apache restart.

NOTE! This is not recommended for a public site, I use this over SSL with Apache configured to require client certificates on a private site.

All suggestions and alternatives are welcome.

Regards,

Paul Valentino

To obtain the directory where files should be stored depending on the project name, you should use "group type" related functions that are (I think) in include/Group.class or include/Project.class

The path are set up on "group type" basis (you should indeed have configured this in the "group type" configuration as site administrator).

Ok, this is more of a feature request but I don't necessarily want you to go to the trouble of adding a feature on my behalf, I would like any assistance I can get creating a php upload page that will upload files directly to each groups download area from the Files menu option. So instead of the add.php which just gives proper shell command syntax I would like an actual page with Browse, Description, and upload capability. I've gone through all the tutorials and php documents and samples but I have no clue how to incorporate this into the Savane environment. I can't seem to get the proper variables into the pages I've worked on i.e. $files_path $group_id and so on. I'm not a php programmer so forgive me for my ignorance. If anyone has a working example that will upload to a directory based upon group_id I would greatly appreciate it. In terms of security and performance I am not worried about those issues - site I am doing this for is relatively small and requires client certificates just to access the savane home page.
Thanks for any assistance.

Paul
