Basic tests done successfully with the three formats.
I might do some more testing when I will have finished with the release note but I am sure it will be OK, so I close the item.

I checked the admin part of it (selection of the type of content) and it's OK.
I'll test the mail content itself right now.

Yves, you should have received a test of the old notifs (« maximum »). Please close this item if it is ok.

About that, the merge will be for CERN only.
Explanation put into comment.

# Maybe later we ll implement a way to select mail templates, or prepared
# mail format (like: text / html).
# But it will have to be done in a well planned way that take into account
# necessary cases and is not encumbered by very very specific things.
# Until this happen, cern will use its own functions to deals with notif.
# Indeed, this part will maintained/modified by CERN only.

About

  • frontend/php/project/admin/editgroupnotifications.php (1.10.6.2):

Fixed default checked value for the notification content type
select box

I certainly do not understand that fix, because it actually breaks the form in version 1.10.6.2, while it was working nicely in the previous version 1.10.6.1.

http://cvs.gna.org/cvsweb/savane/frontend/php/project/admin/editgroupnotifications.php.diff?r1=1.10.6.1;r2=1.10.6.2;cvsroot=savane;f=h

I tested on LGC S., and it's broken there too. It's not dramatic, it's only the form, not actually the result of the form (that works). But there's something I dont catch.

Mail to announce to ROOT people how I implemented the format they wanted:

As promised, I implemented:
- for the project admin an option to choose a notication format
(among 3 types) for his/her project
- one of the selectable notification format to look as closely as
possible to the format Fons sent me

I configured the Savannah ROOT project to use this format.
Yves

Hi Yves,
thanks that looks much better.
Cheers, Fons

column alignment and blank lines problems in mail content

  • frontend/php/project/admin/editgroupnotifications.php (1.10.6.1):

Added option to choose type of notification content

For many reasons, CERN needs to provide different notification models. This will be included but will probably be only available at CERN.
