No problem then, Benheng has ever explained me that they use the Latin alphabet to learn Chinese ideograms. So they can all read zh and deduce this is their language.

I ask a friend who's whife is Chinese. Zh is "chinese" in chinese (zhongwen). CN is chinese in english. Most of name of domain are in english. He think that is common for them.

BTW, with arabic, no pb, i will creat some "icon" who symbolise a choice and put the two letters of their language.

Fayçal says that there is no country that can be considered as better representing the Arabic language – origins are too far in the history and Arabic countries have been redrawn quite recently. On Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arabic_language) they propose two flags for the Arabic language but there is a risk that some people do not make the link with their language.

Finally I wonder if we'd not better show a menu of language names (full name, not 2 letters) with flags aside each language. I'm not sure that all the Chinese people understand that 'zh' is their language while CN is their country…

We could ask for our arabic translator if one flag is usual on the internet to represent "ar".

If not, the colors : green black and red are important for arabic culture.

If no flag found, no pb, i know how manage that :)

As Yago suggested, this could be easier to find its own language if a flag is displayed along with the language two letter code.
