We cannot simply add a button to resend an item history before the Cc select box, as anybody (logged in) can add someone else in Cc. While someone may think that someone else should be kept informed of the item updates, there's no reasonnable way to assume that the other one will want to receive the whole batch.

Also, I'm not sure that sending separate mail for each comments would make a lot of sense. Ok, one could get the whole thread with his mailer. But is that really necessary, considering one can just go on the webpage to get the exhaustive information?

Currently, the user can subscribe himself to receive a CC mail notifications about the updates (Mail Notification Carbon-Copy List). I think it would be nice to give him the possibility to sent himself separately all previous discussions on this item. It could be realized as something like "Send me previous discussion" button or check box near the field "Add an email address that should receive carbon copies of updates of this item".

This way the user will be able to follow the updates and to have previous, nicely threaded discussions in his mail box (if his preferred mailer allows this).

With this approach, there will be no need to re-iterate the same content in the update letters over and over again.
